During the past fifty years Redemptorist Publications has served the Church communities in Great Britain by offering a range of products to support Christians at every stage of life. Our Mission is to proclaim the Good News to everybody in simple, everyday language.

The company, based in Chawton, Hampshire, produces and supplies parishes, bookshops and individuals with a wide range of printed and audio material.

Our products range from Sunday newsletters to books by Fr Denis McBride and Fr Jim McManus. We also distribute materials from other Christian publishers.

Whether you need catechetical material, spiritual reading, or something more light-hearted, Redemptorist Publications will be able to provide it for you.

The Redemptorists

The Congregation of the Most Holy Redeemer, more commonly known as The Redemptorists, were founded by St Alphonsus Liguori in 1732 in Scala, Italy. We are a Roman Catholic religious congregation of priests and brothers.

Who are we?

We are gypsy priests and brothers, ready to go and minister or preach, wherever the need arises. Our motivation is to make the Gospel real. Today, there are so many people who do not experience the Gospel as Good nor as News. It is our mission to help these people experience the love that God has for them.

England and Scotland

The Redemptorists arrived in Britain in 1843. The London Province today numbers 60 men in nine communities in England and Scotland. In our mission region of Zimbabwe we have 2 communities and a growing number of students. Following the example of their founder, St Alphonsus, Redemptorist Publications’ “apostolate of the pen” is an integral part of the mission of the province.

Where ever the need arises

As an international Congregation with membership of about 6,000 men, our presence is felt in every corner of the world. In whatever way we can, we try to bring Jesus our Redeemer into the very heart of daily life.

We have a passion for the Gospel

It doesn't matter what part of the world we come from, or what culture we were brought up in, we all share some important things in common. We are all men of faith whose driving force is the Gospel. We have a passion for the Gospel and we have a passion for people. We seek to bring these two passions together.

It would be impossible for someone to become a Redemptorist without either of these qualities. The Gospel is not meant to be mere cold words on paper, but a lived experience of love: love of God the Father, love of the person of Jesus Christ, and love of neighbour. We believe it is possible for everyone, regardless of social or economic background, to experience Jesus Christ in a deep and personal way. Our Congregation exists because of this belief, and has survived to this day because we believe it passionately!
