“I have had the pleasure of reading this book with my four-year-old son. It’s a unique view on the traditional nativity story. My son loves animals so to read a traditional Christmas tale from the perspective of the animals really captured his imagination. The book contains five individual stories, that all work together to create the nativity story as we all know it. “The book is well-written, beautifully presented with fantastic illustrations. “If you’re looking for a traditional tale to enjoy with children, then give this a try. We enjoyed it.”

This delightful hardback children’s book provided an enchanting approach to telling the story of the birth of Jesus through the eyes of the animal characters involved in the story. It’s nicely written and well presented, with colourful imagery and a nice balance between text and pictures. I read this book to my four-year-old daughter and we both enjoyed letting the beautiful illustrations captivate our imaginations. With its simple description of the nativity story I felt my daughter was able to understand the context of story and engage with the characters. It provided a lovely understanding of the importance of Jesus’ birth but also the importance of all God’s children.
