Redemptorist Publications COVID-19 Statement

Together in Faith

Following the announcement made by the Prime Minister on 23 March 2020, and in an effort to keep our staff, their families and the wider community safe and healthy, Redemptorist Publications have made the decision to close our Chawton office until further notice.

During these exceptional circumstances unfortunately we cannot fulfil normal delivery methods. Items will be dispatched on a weekly basis, every Thursday.

Our Customer Care Team are still available to take your calls and orders, and answer any queries you may have. We appreciate your understanding as we do our best in these challenging circumstances.

We have taken a number of steps to ensure parishes stay connected and are placing all of our Sunday sheets online for subscribing customers to download, print or electronically share with parishioners. We are also providing a homily each Sunday for parish use.

The principal reason St Alphonsus founded the Redemptorists was to reach out and minister to those who were abandoned and to aid the Christian community on its journey towards God. In order to fulfil this mission, and in light of public Masses being cancelled, Redemptorist Publications are delighted to be able to bring the Sunday Holy Mass, celebrated by Fr Denis McBride C.Ss.R. into your home every Sunday. Each Sunday service will be accessed through our website so you can stay connected,  to your faith and church community, during the difficult weeks ahead.

Our customers and supporters are very much in our thoughts and prayers during this time.

Prayer for a pandemic

May we who are merely inconvenienced
remember those whose lives are at stake.

May we who have no risk factors
remember those most vulnerable.

May we who have the luxury of working from home
remember those who must choose between preserving their health or paying their rent.

May we who have flexibility to care for our children when their schools close
remember those who have no options.

May we who have to cancel our trips
remember those that have no safe place to go.

May we who are losing our margin money in the tumult of the economic market
remember those who have no margin at all.

May we who settle in for a quarantine at home
remember those who have no home.

As fear grips our country, let us choose love.

During this time when we cannot physically wrap our arms around each other,
Let us yet find ways to be the loving embrace of God to our neighbours.  Amen.

                                                                                            Cameron Bellm
