Saints Joachim and Anne were Mary's parents and Jesus' grandparents. They were a devout and loving couple who prayed for a child for a long time. Mary was that special child and she was welcomed with great happiness and joy! Saints Joachim and Anne are the patron saints of grandparents and their feast day is July 26th.
